I had allready started hard piano training in 2004, because I really wanted to participate in this international piano competition. I knew, that competition will be very hard, and I wasn’t expecting nothing more than to play in magnificent hall of Lichtenstein palace, to get some interesting and valuable notes from panel, which consisted of renowned players and teachers and to see Prague once again.
But I certainly didn’t expected gaining of honorable mention and award for the best plaied etude of Carl Czerny. I was shocked, especially by the second award, because I wouldn’t rate my playing technique as perfect. Allso comments of panel members were very incentive.
Actually, allso you can become member of honoured panel, because I’m giving here my recording for your listening pleasure. I’ll certainly appreciate any comments.
So what’s here for You:
Klement Slavický – balada
L. V. Bethoven – sonatina F mol
Nora Novotná – Soumrak nad hladinou (loosely translated as dusk at the water
For the second time, I took part in the Praga Junior piano competitionn, year 2006. I was really surprised by my success in the previous year, but it gave me much needed motivation and energy for further training. So I gave it a try once more.
Believe it or not, I received a honorable mention again. Its… I don’t know how to say it, its a honor for me. This has been my last competition so far, because I started studying on a grammar school and time for training decreased rapidly. But I think that it was a nice ending.
What did I play?
W. A. Mozart – sonata facile
Dmitrij Šostakovič – Fantastic dance
Frédéric Chopin – Valtz in C sharp minor no. 15
Leoš Janáček – Lístek odvanutý
Petr Bazala – Bystřina
I am looking forward to hearing some comments from you. Enjoy.
So after some time, I finally managed to approach the end of the second piano cycle at the ZUŠ in Valašské Meziříčí. I attended piano lessons there for more than ten years.
So after a long time, I entered well known hall, and found there unknown people and unfortunatelly totally new piano. I say unfortunatelly, because I wasn’t accustomed to it at all. I allso didn’t know, that I would perform as the last player. Simply great:-)
But eventually, all went well and I graduated successfully..I’ll certainly continue playing piano, but currently I’m not sure where and how, because noone have discovered third cycle yet. But I won’t give it up.
What did I actually play?:
Frédéric Chopin – nocturno cis mol
my own improvisation
Petr Bazala – tocata
I’m curious about your opinions, criticism etc., so feel free and let them sound via comments. I highly appreciate your words..
I wish you enjoyable listening.
